WHAT'S AT STAKE

This election is about progress you can feel—and leadership you can count on.

Neighborhood Investment

The Green Team is dedicated to revitalizing East Orange's neighborhoods through targeted investments that promote affordable housing and community development. Initiatives like the "Halsted Street and Sussex Area Developments" aim to affirmatively further fair housing choices and enhance the quality of life for residents.

Collaborations with organizations like the East Orange YMCA offer preschool daycare, after-school programs, and summer camps, fostering a safe and enriching environment for children and teenagers.

Infrastructure Improvements

Significant investments are being made to modernize East Orange's infrastructure. The $83.3 million upgrade to the historic Brick Church Station will enhance accessibility and preserve the station's historic features, thereby improving the daily commute for residents.

Public Safety & Clean Streets

Under Mayor Ted Green's leadership, initiatives like the “Mayor on the Block” program have been implemented to engage with residents and address community concerns directly.

Arts & Culture Access

The Green Team champions the arts as a vital component of community engagement. Programs like the Utility Box Public Art Program invite local artists to transform everyday infrastructure into vibrant public art, enriching the city's cultural landscape .

Local Economic Development

To stimulate economic growth, East Orange has secured significant investments, such as the $317 million financing for The Crossings at Brick Church Station—a mixed-use development that will provide retail space and mixed-income housing, fostering job creation and economic vitality in the area .
